Power Supply

How many times have you built a five volt regulator circuit?
I know I built it probably a hundred timed before I made this module.  Now when I need 5 volt power, I just plug this module into my breadboard and I can start building!  But not only does it supply 5 volts, it also supplies 12 volts for those power hungry applications.  It also indicates the circuit is operational with a green LED.  Current is limited to 1 amp.  I am sure you have seen the circuit 100 times before:

I simply found a discarded wall adapter for a scanner which provided 12 volts DC at 1 amp, wired that supply up to this circuit, and voila!  an instant power supply.
